Not all white quartz looks alike. Four families cover most of the catalogue:
| Type | What it is | Best suited for |
|---|---|---|
| Pure white (solid) | A uniformly white surface with no veins or pattern. | Modern, minimalist kitchens; the brightest option. |
| Calacatta-style veining | White background crossed by bold grey, gold or brown veins. | A statement island; the marble look without its upkeep. |
| Carrara-style veining | Fine, delicate grey veins, subtler than Calacatta. | A timeless classic that matches everything. |
| Speckled grain | Fine, even speckles on a white or cream background. | The most forgiving of crumbs and water marks day to day. |
$60 to $110 per square foot installed, $75 median — white does not cost more than other colours: veining complexity and brand are what move the price. For a full kitchen of about 44 sq ft, half of all projects land between $2,700 and $4,600 before taxes. Figures based on our 286 projects invoiced from January to August 2026. Quartz is non-porous, so liquids never soak in: coffee, wine or juice wipe off with a damp cloth and mild soap — no sealant, ever. Two precautions are enough: avoid bleach- or ammonia-based cleaners, which dull the finish, and always use a trivet under hot pots — quartz handles heat less well than granite or Dekton.

Among our best sellers: Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold (gold veining), Silestone Miami Vena (light veining), Vicostone Misterio and Technistone Crystal Absolute White (pure white). The grid above shows them all in real slab photos.
Less than you would think: quartz is non-porous, so nothing soaks into the surface. A damp cloth and mild soap are enough. Speckled or lightly veined whites are even more forgiving of crumbs and water marks than pure white.
$60 to $110 per square foot installed in Quebec, $75 median — laser measurement, fabrication and installation included, taxes extra. A full 44 sq ft kitchen typically lands between $2,700 and $4,600.
Never. Unlike granite, which needs a yearly sealant, quartz is non-porous by fabrication: upkeep is limited to everyday cleaning.
